Rant: Am I the only one who doesn't care about the moderation?

It seems to me that most of the steps they are taking (although some are a little iffy at times) are fairly reasonable and most mods are fairly lenient and even more flexible than most places. Is it that hard to just see why a person--such as a moderator--would come to such a conclusion?

Please, someone give me a irrefutable answer as to why we should spend time complaining about moderation rather than, y'know, actually go about talking about guitar related things with the fun HC has normally been about?

Yep. Its only an issue because a select few don't have anything worthwhile to talk about evidently.

I think it's kinda nice having up to 30% on-topic threads in an "amp" forum, especially when there are other forums for all of the other stuff.

Honestly, most of the other places I visit are nearly 100% on topic - that's why I frequent them. So much OT traffic is distracting (and, admittedly, entertaining at times); usually I can go through the first 4 pages and read two or three threads at most, then it's back to other programming.

Now that I've contributed my off-topic post for the day :thu:, I guess I'll sign off...

When it comes to cracking down on OT threads, I could go either way. I used to hate OT stuff, but it's fun to shoot the {censored} and goof around every now and again.

But when mods are taking down threads that deal with pertinent discussions on gear, is what bothers me.

I dig this forum because it's fast paced and always entertaining.

We don't have censored speech unless it's really hateful in nature, so I don't see a problem there.

I don't want to see half-naked girls when I'm at work with my boss looking over my shoulder. If I want to look at porn, I'll do so on my own time away from my place of business

When your search for a legitimate amplifer related topic or detail, is outnumbered by a search for say, "Girlie Thread" you've probably got to pull the reins a bit...

I've recently aquired, and look to aquire some new, very important to my current gigging rig gear, and I'm searching elsewhere for information... Not good....

I don't really mind.

None of these things are really hurting me, so I guess I wouldn't care too much anyways.

As long as Fl00 posts here, I will be happy.
