It's rare to never that I find a thread that doesn't start with a clear agenda "don't you think all wetbacks should be fed to Gays, then the Gays set on fire?" and devolves from there. I say move em to SSS. Because I'm going to continue to post my really long, obnoxious yet meticulously researched responses to the goat{censored}ing morons who insist on showing their ignorance of social issues. The only reasonable explaination is they want to silence those who post things they don't agree with rather than allow people to discuss whatever the hell they choose to. Your mileage may vary, but I don't think such posts add any value to the "community" -- if anything, there are some folks on this board I've never even met and feel biased against simply because of their strong political or religious views. You can only ask so many amp related questions before the stock answer would be "Thats been ask 1000 times, Use the search function"...That said, I also believe in Pub Rules....No Politics.....No religion....Emotions, personal belief, and tempers run higher on those two topics than most others. Political? ....get on over there...follow all your pals! Keys or recording...make sure you GET over there quick! Amps...hey..only amps allowed...get in there ask your amp question and get the {censored} out real quick. No...sorry that is bull{censored}! To me...the different forums are to slim down your main interest...NOT to be micro-manage. You know how that works at work. It sucks balls. As was mentioned...if ONE PERSON seems to have a proponderance of special interest threads that do not match the forum...then fine...get him/her to the appropriate forum. You same people who hate Bush for removing all your personal freedoms want to polarize and break down the forum....for YOUR convenience. (YES...I made a sweeping generalization...just to make a point) I say you use some damn discretion. It;s not that hard. Don't click on the link, and if someone has an overload of OT or confrontational posts..then DEAL WITH IT. Don't punish the rest of the population for a a few jerks. Other OT {censored} can occasionally be amusing, therefore I wouldn't remove them just because they were OT. That shows your immaturity. You think just because some gives a DMAN about something it's pointless trolling. I understand that if a person is TOO forceful (rememberduane comes to mind), then that person is NOT interested in "discussion". They just want to reign over and subjugate anything in their path. Atarispunk and I disagree on many issues. And I don't really "know" him at all. But, we manage to be civil...so I know it can be done. We are able to just talk instead of convert. I really think any OT thread that stays on the main page for more than a day or two should get moved. Potatoes is right, if anyone is that interested they will follow the thread. If not, it should die, because it's just a troll fest. People should get to talk about whatever they like, but I get tired (and a little annoyed) of seeing the same OT pissing match threads day after day.
