Anyone have a neighbor who is a prick?

I can't even get a hello or any acknowledgment from my neighbor. Last time he said anything to me was "Get off my property!" I had put up a cedar fence and was staining it when he yelled at me. What's the deal with that? Even his kid nor wife would say anything to me. We could be shoveling snow at the same time and be 10 feet from each other and I get the cold shoulder. I think this guy had it out for me before I moved next door. My house is brand new and his is an old shack, plus I am half his age. It bothers me. What did I ever do to him? I occassionally have dreams about confronting him and asking him what the {censored} is your problem?

I can see how that would be obnoxious, but I'm trying to deal with a neighbor that shoots BB guns at my house, and leaves used motor oil jugs (big ones) by my garbage cans.

Yup. Lives across me. I live in a cul-de-sac, and was having a jam with mates. Called the cops on us on a saturday afternoon. Wasn't the first time either. Although, we were playing with our garage door open .

There are a lot of "older" guys who show no respect to guys younger than them. And if you have a nicer house and car? Forget about it. And if you smoke them on the guitar!? Forget about it!

We have neighbours who have bamboo growing wild all over their property (and it keeps growing through onto ours - it's a real pain in the arse trying to keep it out). They have trees that they won't get rid of that are destroying our paving, and 2 dogs that bark constantly. They also have capsicum trees growing in their gutters coz they don't clean them.

I'm thinking about the drill + poison thing on the trees, but if they fall down they will fall onto my house (not theirs), dont' know about the bamboo though, they have a forest of the stuff, and the straight weed killer doesn't do very much..

One time, I wa sjamming outside, at like 1 P.M, in the summer, bright , sunny day. I was pissed haha.

I lived above a DJ once in a flat/apartment. He was always arguing with his girlfriend at 3am when they got back from "raves". Was quite interesting at first, but soon got very annoying. He also used to like practicing his DJ "skills" at stupid times too

I also lived next door to this prick who used to complain to me regularly about a small 10sq foot flower bed on my property that wasn't kept "tidy enough" for his and his wifes standards. He used to moan that there were too many weeds there etc!! The patch of land was at the side of my house facing his so I hardly ever saw it, and once he moaned at me for it I decided to let it grow wild!! Stupid bastards - as if there isnt anything better to moan about?! He grew used to weeds and dead plants after that

Boy, I've been through this {censored} before. I'd say, just be happy he's giving you the cold shoulder. Here's why...

Most likely he is jealous or whatever, and sits around his house bitching about you to his wife. Somewhat like we do here on HCAF. I mean, we will talk all sorts of people we don't really know, for 5 days straight.

Anyhow, just keep two cards up your sleeve.

a) the nice guys card (always play this card as much as possible)
b) the WFT is your problem MF card

FWIW--I've been to court with my 1st neighbors, over my amps. It's not really any fun.
My last neighbor was so nosey, she called up my family members and was trying to talk {censored} about me to them. They told me about her crap.

So I installed a 1000W metal halide light on my roof, and pointed it at her house. Some nights it was on for 5 hrs. Other nights it was on ALL NIGHT LONG.

Result: she moved

Just try to keep it nice, because it CAN get REALLY ugly.


Another note:
Some dude was on the news the other night around here, because he and his neighbor got into it, and one of them killed the other one.

Result: jail time

My advice: (take it or leave it)
Don't try it get to know him, stay away from him if possible.
