When theres a word I don't know how to pronounce I just do this sly thing where I blend the two possiblities of what it could be into one word.

So it's like im not saying either right, but im saying neither wrong, I just come across as a person with a speech defect

:o

just wondering what the "proper" way to pronounce these amp brands...

you yanks and ze germans should be able to settle some arguments.

MESA - eg "mess-sa"

"may-sa" etc

FRAMUS - "fray-mus"

"fram-us" etc

ENGL - "n-gel"

"n-gle" etc

This is how I pronounce them. mad12.gif

MESA/Boogie-> "Mezza Boog-ee" ("Boogie" like book, boogeyman etc.)

Framus-> "Fray-Muss" (pretty easy)

Engl-> "Enn-gl" (not "GULL"!)

Engl
-> "Enn-gl" (not "G
U
LL"!)

i wrote "gull" because i wasn't sure if people would know what sound i was referring to if i just put "gl"

I cringe when people say "mess-sa"

I cringe when people say "May-ssa". It's painful. faintthud.gif

Like the name Megan. It's supposed to be said "Mee-gan". I've heard people pronounce it as "May-gun", even "Megg-Ann". Sometimes, I just do, not, get it.. confused24.gif
