Members Dark Angel
And boy it sounds raw to intentionally sing out of Ke-e-e-ey. Back to our roots, these songs are long gah And there are fast parts, so that automatically means that they're good! Double bass sah! Back to our roots! Complex just like Justice! Complex just like Jus-tice! That version is an old classic.

No, they turned the suck knob to 11 when making that snare. It sounded so much of ass, all Matt needed to do was mic something that has had ass in it in the past, and then beat the tiniest hint of ass out of it. Lars and co. managed to distill ass to such a concentration, that finding other sources of ass is the only way to get that sound.

Members K-Bizzle
I actually kind of liked the snare sound on that album. Not really much of a metallica fan anymore, but I liked it.Its been kind of a guilty pleasure since I first heard it. Its not for everyone but I think it added additional aggression to the sound during the fast parts. Feel free to ignore my opinion though.Like the picture though, I LOLed. Members Exocaster
Honestly, I think the nasty, {censored}ty production is one of St. Anger's more interesting attributes. The songs are lacking- they sound like unfinished demos to me- and I think the album would have been worse with good production. It would have highlighted how repetitive the songs are. But I like intentionally abrasive sounding music, so...
