Members JnBroadbent
EDIT: I have some eminence v30 clones willing to trade for some beat up 75's. (they are from a gflex, almost brand new)

Most people are playing unbroken in 75's which are brittle as {censored} thus the bad rep, me thinks.
Members Erock503
they sound good to me with certain amps, just like I prefer V30 with others. I like amps with a very strong midrange through them, but prefer V30 if that's not the case.
Members Megatron_69
It totally depends on the amp. For my VHT the 75s are better. I did a lot of testing w/my iso cab into my 2480 and all things being the same the 75s always sounded better. The 30s had a, for lack of better words, crusty honk to the mids. The 75 were clear in the full range. Still like to upgrade my cab and try some G12K100's.

Members VanR
I'm in. I took the V30's out of my 2 Orange 1-12 cabs and put some G12T-75's in yesterday. Hate the V30's.
Members RICK330MAN
Each has a place in my speaker inventory, but I am partial to the G12T-75.

Members rushtallica
Some amps they sound horrible in, but with a marshall... They also work pretty well with the Ultra Plus, IMO.
Members newholland
t75s.. i like 'em with a 50+ watt el34 or el84 head. open back: awful. but in a closed back cab--- way nice. without bass support from a cab-- they don't work at all-- it gives them enough ass end to sound good. low watts- nope. too stiff.thiele cab- not really. not enough bass support.open back- absolutely not.6l6es- probably not enough mids.rhythm- you bet-- especially with gain with the right amp. v30's.. never sound clean to my ears, but worse, they almost never sound GOOD to my ears.. especially if you like amps with prominent mids.
