Seriously though, it could be something like ephedrine or pseudoephedrine, which is a pretty common nasal decongestant.

I know a lot of people say even though he seems like a really lazy guy he works extremely hard. I thought I heard that included weights.

Could have been something for exhaustion. I doubt that ephedrine or pseudoephedrine in the levels used in nasal decongestants are going to raise alarms in piss tests and that Manny would decline his right to appeal if nasal decongestant was the cause. Members RaceU4her
jose canseco says hes 95% sure manny is on that list arod was on from 2003, and he has actually been right about everyone he has accused. who knows, for how good he is there was hardly any interest in him this off season, maybe theres some dirt goin around. Members Tyler N
im reading it was something for sexual performance HAHAHA It was HCG, which you pretty much only use for recovery after a steroid cycle. No doubt in my mind he knew he used steroids and just got caught.
Members metalguy
just read about this. article i read said the doctor prescribed him something he thought was ok. turns out it contained an illegal substance under the MLB rules, hence 50 games. seems more the doc's fault, but still manny's cause he should have checked as well. Some of this stuff is getting ridiculous. Pundits will scream that athletes have to know everything that is going into their bodies, but it's tough. At what point do you trust people not to pump you full of crap? What's the end point of due diligence? Not saying that Manny is telling the truth, but there's been some evidence of this kinda stuff for awhile. It could be excuses, but if there's smoke, yes? http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/story/11683822 http://www.ajc.com/falcons/content/sports/falcons/stories/2008/11/11/falcons_jackson_lawsuit.html http://www.signonsandiego.com/sports/aztecs/20080312-9999-1s12femi.html

The first 75 years or so of baseball history would disagree with you. It took a couple of knuckleheads 50 years and whole bunch of steroids to break a home run record set by a guy that wasn't juicing. Either way...baseball sucks and is extremely boring. MLB in particular is a horribly run league full of teams nobody cares about and players that nobody believes in. Put in other words...it's a lot like the NHL minus the fact that hockey is actually fun to watch.
