Members HKSblade1
Under warranty still? After 3 times they usually give a replacement...push for it. Has a long history of repairs. They gave free 1 yr Apple care after the warr since it was serviced 3x in warr. I asked for an exchange and later demanded one and they said get bit. Now OOW repairs have cost more than a MB Pro and it still shuts down after x hours. They blamed lightning damage or static since they couldn't solve the problem. Most everything in it has been replaced. I wrote the company and asked for a replacement. Never hear a word or a {censored} you thanks for trying. Stupid ass tech said just lie and tell your insurance company it was lightning or power surge. They'll get you a new one. yeah that's nice............... fraud? I will never buy another ever!!!!!!!!!! POS! My Son's MBP {censored}ed up on him out of warranty and he just sold it. Computers can all fail, but it just seems {censored} after {censored} with Apple for us anyway, besides the fact its a bitch to get some hardware {censored} I have to run on newer OS versions. Vendors just don't support it as much as they do Win. Even on the emulation modes it failed.

Members wok
iMac in the shop 5x and back in again. {censored}ers can't fix it. user error. I never had to take mine back to the shop. I DID have a harddrive dying on me, bought a new one and replaced it. Even though it was outside the warranty, they offered to install it for free for me. Since I wanted to see what an iMac actually looks like inside, I did it myself.
Members yanktar
Because I want to watch porn quickly and discretely - and not have to deal with syncing it to every {censored}ing electronic device I own, making sure its not a commonly used file format and not having Apple personally notified every time I do. It's not just porn. I keep legitimate private stuff on my PC, especially in contacts and notes in Outlook, and I damn well do NOT want it synching up with my phone, my iPad and the universe--or ANYTHING! One reason I won't let Facebook log on from either my iPad or my Android phone is both IMMEDIATELY try to synch up all my contact info. Since FB is NOT secure and should never be considered secure, this means both are a no-no. If I want to use FB on my iPad, I run it via Safari, not the app. I'd remove the app from both the iPad and the Android but neither will let me. Apple and Google don't believe you shouldn't want to synch up EVERYTHING with EVERYTHING, plus Apple believes it has the right to access ALL your private information--Google is only a step or two behind it. If I have to keep all that secure {censored} on paper because of "The Joy of Synching" then what the {censored} is the POINT of having either Apple or Android tools????? Members yanktar
you DO know that you can switch the syncing options OFF? Some of them. Try FINDING it in Facebook, and it will keep nagging you and nagging you. See what happens just with iTunes when you decide you DO want to synch--it doesn't have a "keep" option and kills {censored}. With Apple and Google, you pretty much have to synch everything or nothing. You can't say "Don't synch {censored} in the SECURE category". But you're an Apple lover so you have cognitive dissonance about Apple being ANYTHING but perfect. It's not. Sure, you can DO a lot of stuff, but it's a major pain in the ass to do anything but what Apple wants you to do the way Apple wants you to do it. Yeah, you can change the battery....but you gotta dig up unauthorized directions for how to open it, where to get a battery etc. How is that compatible with popping the back off and putting in a new battery?????? You CAN do the same thing, but rather than it being a trivial operation, it's major surgery. But you're an Apple fanatic so EVERYTHING Apple does is the best way, even when it's blatantly NOT. Members satannica
You care way too much about this stuff. Really. Yep, when you're spending money on a computer, and when it's part of your livelihood damn right I care! I have an iPad at the moment; the other half got given it through work as she's in networking. I use it as my sofa-surfer. As a concept, I get it for some, but ultimately am still of the opinion that tablet PCs were {censored} in the 90s and they're still {censored} now. I can't see why anyone would buy a tablet, be it Apple or any other, over a laptop if what they're after is cheap sofa-surfing. I don't like that I can't copy and paste with ease, that I can't open zipfiles and view the contents, that I can't use Microsoft Office applications on it and that I get a rather sore wrist holding it for any great length of time and that despite how small it is, it's still rather cumbersome. As soon as my new laptop comes in next year, the iPad will be under the sofa and I doubt will ever be used.

You, sir, are cheating! You aren't allowed to use logic and reason. The Best is Apple because Apple is the Best. Don't you get that?IN THE FUTURE ANY CRITICISM OF ANY APPLE PRODUCT WILL BE SUBJECT TO SUMMARY REMOVAL OF ALL INTERNET, COMPUTER, AND PHONE USAGE FOR LIFE! I've never seen the point of arguing about one product vs. another. They each do their jobs and for the most part, the same jobs. It's really personal preference these days.
