The government can not punish you for your views. Free speech is our right. However, if you are stupid enough to say the wrong thing, at the wrong time, to the wrong people, the government will prosecute your attackers to the full extent of the law. If they are ever caught. You will have the right to be in court and bear witness against them. If you are still alive. I know what you are saying, but that won't help these jackasses. They have a right to their views and the expression thereof. They should have kept them to themselves. I'll repeat - Stupidity is a capital crime. True the little whores shouldn't have been so goddamn stupid, but I don't think it's a clear cut case of hating black people. This is how I understood it, also. I watched one of the videos. I believe it was from the first case of this happening on the site that was linked above. Both girls had darker hair, so it was not the most recent case. I worked as a Public Assistance Specialist for 7 years. The girls were wrong for posting this, definitely. However, they did have valid points that were not at all racist and were accurate, based on my experience. I have found that when young people realize how others are choosing to live, that they are just making an observation to show that they are indeed aware of differences between races, and nothing more. Of course this is not always the case, but due to how things have devolved in the last four years, adults in authority have become more hair-trigger ready to accuse and keep themselves from being dragged into a {censored}storm. An recent example of this was a seven year old being expelled from school for stating that his teacher was "cute"! WTF?! What SOB was dumb enough to expell a young child for making a complimentary observation?! It's just my observation that over the last four years, americans have become more conscious of what is being termed "racist" or not because of the government, Obama, and the media that supports them. This is not a political observation, just based on what has transpired and how the term "racist" has become a common and cheap way out for pointing the finger at someone else's actions in an accusatory manner. It was started by the democrats and the media as a way to put down those whose beliefs do not coincide with theirs. It has worked to divide the country, not bring it closer together, as Obama had stated in his run for the presidency. It has gotten so over-used now that when it is used, it is overlooked as a cop-out and not an actual true case of one being a racist. The news now has people at schools checking young children's lunchs that they bring from home. If these people feel that the lunch is not healthy enough, they confiscate it from the children. Everything being enacted now is a result of Washington swinging way to far to the left in what they determine to be their effort to protect us from ourselves. I don't see how the school could legally reprimand them for it. good point. But in highschool they're able to punish kids for language and such, right? Maybe not legally but if a kid cusses in class or says something disruptive they can get detention or whatever. They're stupid, naive teenagers whose entire world consists of hanging out at the mall, their boyfriends, cliques and competing for social status and not a whole helluva lot else. They're so stupid, they don't even realize the ramifications of saying anything that can be construed by anyone as "offensive" in today's PC-insane society. What's actually much, MUCH sadder to me than their unfortunate video stupidity is the big {censored}ing deal that's being made about it like they went and burned a cross in someone's yard or something. The fact that many people here are actually HOPING they get beat up simply for posting this vapid, inconsequential poot speaks volumes as to the number of people we have actively walking around LOOKING to be "offended" by something. What a nation and a world of spineless, milquetoast, onion-skinned pussies we've become. I'm not condoning anything they said, and their parents definitely need to have a very serious talk with them about a few things, but for this to be some major news story is {censored}ing pathetic.
