Members Cirrus
Given how totally {censored}ty, cheap, weak and awful an electric guitar's output signal actually is, even the cheapest pedal couldn't do much to make it worse. Members peavey_impact
I used the stock Boss SD-1 for a long time. Now i'm using the Keeley version which is one of my favorite pedals ever. I bought a USA Bad Monkey when they first came out but I never really dug it with any of my amps. Members PurpleTrails
MXR Classic OD or Dano TOD into an early 70s twin reverb. If I want to to thicken up modulation effects I'll kick in a BYOC FET preamp kit pedal, which can add something like 26 db to the signal coming in the front end. Toanz get huge with that thing. For a while, I had both the stock and Keeley SD-1s, and the Keeley was superior in every measurable way, natch. Funny, though -- with my particular amps, the Monkey just worked better. That was before I got the Fireball, which is the nicest od I've got, but it's almost too "highbrow" at times, lol! Members Van_Muddlestein
I use a cheap Black Russian big muff as my main dirt into a clean amp and one of the pedals on my board is a Boss DS-1. I use it for nasty ass almost filter type sounds.
