Tommy Emmanuel's "The Man With The Green Thumb", "Mombosa" and "Angelina" and a really cool arrangement of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" that has about 5 variations that I can't seem to memorize even after 3 years. I've been getting "jiggy" with all of "Mombosa" and GRYMG and have been meaning to record them but I'm afraid that I'll lose that vibe and it wouldn't do any credit to either song.

Is it a no-no to post a tab?

Not unless it's a direct copy of copyrighted material without permission of the owner. If it's a non official tab done by an individual for educational purposes it may be posted and for that same reason there's a possibility that it may be posted even from a copyrighted source though I'm not 100% sure on the last.

A(2) G6+9 A(2)

I awoke today and found the frost perched on the town

A(2) A G6+9 A(2)

It hovered in a frozen sky and it gobbled summer down

And all the trees are shivering in a naked row

I get the urge for going but I never seem to go

CHORUS #1:

G D A G D A

And I get the urge for going, when the meadow grass is turning brown

G D A A G A

Summertime is falling down and winter's closing in

A(2) G6+9 A(2)

I met a girl in summertime, she had summer colored skin

A(2) A G6+9 A(2)

And not another man in town, that darling's heart could win

D C

But when the leaves fell on the ground

D C E E5addD/B

And bully winds come around and pushed them face down in the snow

A G A(2)

She got the urge for goin', and I had to let her go ...CHORUS

She got the urge for going, when the meadow grass was turning brown

Now the warriors of winter, they give a cold triumphant shout

A(2) A G6+9 A(2)

All that stays is dying, all that lives is getting out

D C

See the geese in chevron flight

D C E E5addD/B

Flapping and a-racin' on before the snow

A G A(2)

They got the urge for going, and they've got the wings so they can go

CHORUS #3:

G D A G D A

They get the urge for going, when the meadow grass is turning brown

G D A A G A

Summertime is falling down, and winter's closing in ...REPEAT INTRO

I'll ply the fire with kindling, I'll pull the blankets to my chin

A(2) A G6+9 A(2)

I'll lock the vagrant winter out, and I'll bolt my wandering in

D C

I'd like to call back summertime

D C E E5addD/B

And have her stay for just another month or so

A G A(2)

But she's got the urge for going so I guess she'll have to go

CHORUS #4:

G D A G D A

She gets the urge for going, when the meadow grass is turning brown

For some stupid reason, I have been playing Wild Night, and Long Train Runnin'. Though, I just picked up two Chris Smither song books as an early christmas present to myself and have been working on Happier Blue and No Love Today.

Cheers, Bob

The CODE tag is your friend here - use it instead of QUOTE, and it puts the output in a monospaced font. Also respects white space.

I clocked a lot of guitar playing time this weekend.

Yesterday I couldn't stop playing "Don't Know Why" by Norah Jones, "In Repair" by John Mayer and "Change the World" by Clapton. I didn't pick up my guitar yet today, but I will have plenty of time over the next 5 days. I don't have to work until Saturday. :thu:
