I am looking for something cheap with p90s in it.

Do any of those fit that requirement?

I would be happy to take the squire 51 off your hands...

I need something to tinker with.

I think one of those with a nice set of soapbars would be schweet...

G&L Legacy Special (Blue, Swamp Ash/Rosewood)
G&L Legacy (Green, project guitar, Swamp Ash/Maple)
G&L ASAT Deluxe (Orange, Swamp Ash/Maple)
Schecter C1+
Schecter C1 E/A
Schecter C4

Martin 000C-16RGTE
Taylor NS42ce
Parker NiteFly
Parker Southern NiteFly (on order)

Based on the other peoples lists I don't feel so bad anymore :D

I'm still think of selling off the stuff on the first list, although I am still pretty attached to the Blue G&L.

I have noticed, that when I'm down to one band, and it's only playing maybe once/month, I get GASSY again...

Yeah, same here. Two bands + acoustic gig fill-ins. I literally don't have time to do anything else guitar-wise.

But it's funny how that came about. I started putting all that time and energy into practicing instead of reading, buying, shipping, modding, etc. and now I have more opportunities to play. I have about 15 songs to learn by next Sat. for one band and I just finished learning 5 new songs for my other band.
But it's a labor of love.......
and it keeps me off the streets. :D

I haven't even put new strings on it yet. :o But I do love the setup you had done on this guitar. Definitely one of the best setups I have on a guitar.

I'm really tempted to try the 1 meg pot upgrade first. :thu:

The Squier Tele Custom II might fit that bill for you.

But if you want a deal on a '51, Batotman has his up for sale in new condition with a gigbag and shipping (I believe) for around $135.

GAS onto the fire! :D

you are obviously unawares that (certain) Squiers can hold their own, and then some. check with Jeff Healey, the dudes in Iron Maiden, and some guy (whose name i've forgotten) who just got a full page write-up in this month's Vintage guitar mag (who was touring the country in support of his new album).

seems that those folks werent around for the GAS-happy marketing pitches.

I got a hellaciously good deal on that Fly Classic. It was a blowout at a GC store for $1,100 + tax. The normal retail was over twice that.

On the upside, it is a fantastic player. Feels great and has super low action. On the down side, it's no where near my better toned guitars. Just some character missing somewhere. BUT!! If you blend in the bridge piezo pickup with the magnetic pickups, then it does start to become something special, but sort of as in "specialty". The acoustic simulation of the piezo itself is also surprisingly realistic sounding. It's just the mag pups where its tone is a bit short. Mine is the earlier version with the DiMarzios. The newer ones use SD Jazz and JB (I believe) combination.

So it's flawed, but I can't let it go yet. :(:freak:

+ I probably wouldn't be doing you any favor once you got your hands on it and got that  feeling about its tone.

I used to have a friend who was a "real" working musician. Another words, very talented, trained and very poor, And that's what he used to say to me too.

I knew someone would have to through logic into this thread!

What about just a potent cocktail mix of Prozac and Viagra? That might be able to keep me out of the catalogs, on-line stores and H.C.! :D

I'd rather have GAS than an STD! I'd rather worry about having too many guitars than getting blood tests every time I got laid!

mine is short...

G&L cs Legacy humbucker limited edition
05 Gibson LP Studio
05 Gibson SG Standard
Ibanez RG570
Ibanez Artstar80 (will probably be sold)
Ibanez SR800FL
Yamaha MIJ Classical (from the 80's, refinished)

These dont get played, just sit in a closet collecting dust:
noname rondo-like (not from rondo, but local place which does the same thing, which is order MIK copies under a different name) LP Custom copy (norlin era, all maple blonde), acoustic electric (works surprisingly well and is built rather nicely with a solid spruce top), and a POS acoustic.

WILL ADD IN THE FUTURE:
G&L hollow Bluesboy
Gibson CS LP Junior singlecut (2 pups)
PRS Standard or CE 24 with birds
Seagull Peppino D'Agostino model (next priority on the list)
