  1. Classy. it's a beautiful burst. if i ever got a les paul that's the one i'd get. congrats and enjoy.
  2. aw hellz yeah. billy tears it up! and a good guy to boot. what's not to like?
  3. funny fact: you know what one word has recently popped up in 20% of new divorce filings? Facebook.
  4. Old people understand better than most in our materialistic Western culture that none of us really "own" anything. Everybody blew by the post on page 1 about the old lady and the Gretsch she sold for $300 just to be done with it. Lots of huffing and puffing 'round here and yet nobody here really knows anything about the old guy who is at the center of this story except a bunch of assumptions about his motivations. When I got divorced, I GAVE AWAY valuable {censored} just because it held no value to me. Not condoning preying on the elderly. Karma will take care of that. Now, where's my poncho...
  5. Sorry. I forget to not be honest on message boards cause people get all sensitive when you don't like something they do. Didn't say they were bad, just don't like them. But, like I said. I wound up liking that he was there. He was pretty interesting. I don't give a {censored} what you hate or don't hate. I am a fan of early U2, and I think Edge is an interesting guitar player that deserves some attention for doing something different with the instrument. I just tire of the same old stuff on the same old topics. There really is nothing new under the sun. If that was yr first post on the subject, then sorry i was cranky.
  6. Go and play both. Near as I can tell, your ears are the only thing that matter. And you don't use them typing messages on teh INternetz. Get yr ass to a music store and make up your own mind.
  7. I own a MIA Predator as my main strat and I love it. I think the neck is very comfy and the stock pups are not bad at all (though I"ve replaced mine). They're a good find under $100 in the used market.
  8. 12-pack of Dunlop strings and... H1N1. How much the H1N1 set you back? I've heard the tone is a bit nasally and throaty on those.
  9. Shredders who think they have soul and feel. fiasco'd! I got it, Mike. I don't think _pete_ got the joke...
  10. Squier 51 body, black. A few scratches, no major dings. Comes with bridge and control plate/pots/knobs. You add pickups, pickguard, and neck and away you go... $70 + actual shipping.
  11. BTW, Woody, if you want 24.75" scale, find a Warhawk.
  12. To pick up on one point I'm in a band which I love. We don't sell loads of records but I really believe in the music we make and feel very lucky to be playing with such great musicians who also love what were doing. Well, hell, dude. This is all you need right here! Just turn yr head off and rock it.
