Members Treborklow
I love Rics, but this just seems wrong. Couldn't they have used the top piece of wood with the knot on the bottom where it could have been carved out as the control cavity? Maybe they should have just tossed out that piece. Maybe I'm being unfair. Anyone like the knot look??

Members keNz
The whole body looks like a whale, with the control plate being the mouth and the knot being the eye.
Members Professor Tom
I like it, that was done on purpose no question, someone was trying to make an original looking guitar.
Members placeboemotion
would like to see it in person ... what it looks like when the guitar moves ... could be interesting. I am not hot about it but not negative either. Sort of ... luke warm ...
Members Stratmaster
I would be sending that thing right back. Its ugly. (no offense just IMO) Guitars should not have knots in them. Even if it was done on purpose I don't like the idea of having a Knot on the front of my guitar. Only thing that could redeem that instrument in my mind is if when you plug it in and it sounds and plays fantastic. I can overlook an unpleasent look if the instrument itself is great. But for the cost of a rick? I dont think so. For that kind of money I want a guitar that plays great, sounds great, and looks great. But if natural looking guitar appeals to ya then rock it. just my
Members bloolight
I don't think it looks *terrible*, but my eyes keep fixating on the knot instead of the guitar.

Members Josh S
Sometimes a knot can add character. My band's singer has a tele deluxe with a knot in the front, and it makes the guitar... But that Ricky just looks bad

Members Coralkong
Yeah, and see where the knots have cracked? That's why you shouldn't have knots in the guitar. Say it's knot so....
Members zuzuman
That's quite a knot! I am a fan of "wood character" in guitars, but that is really pushing the edge. My Swamp Ash LP has a few tiny knots which I don't mind:
