Members Carbohydrates
On the topic of intentionally weird sounds, hollowbody + distorted amp + chorus + ebow + glass slide = trippy {censored}. Try it. Kinda sounds like a theramin or something. Edit: Just the ebow + glass slide combo is damn fun, too.
Members Carcinogen
I like to make sitar sounds with my #1 Echo. I realize its an 'echo' pedal and not a delay, but I really don't see the difference...

You can speed up and slow down on the fly. While the delay is repeating, you can unplug your guitar from your effects and plug it into a different input on your amp and play a lead over the helicopter sound. Members Ancient Mariner
How many people here make weird noises with their butt cheeks on purpose? How many people make weird noises with their hands in their armpits?I have various bits of kit that *can* make weird noises. I have never found a situation when I would use them musically. I've never used a tape echo. They seem kind of finicky and like they need lots of maintenance.

Members Lost Kiwi
I like setting a reeeeeeeeeeealllllyyyyy long delay with just one echo, then when I am practicing phrasing I can play a fairly long phrase then hear the whole thing played back to me to hear what it sounds like. Works well.
