I can see someone having to do an emergency string change at a gig but other than that there's no rational reason for it. When it comes to cut guitar strings, the 'eyes' have it. No real opinion one way or the other on that since I don't spend much time staring at penises (or is that peni). BTW,I've stabbed my fingers a lot of times on cut strings. Members steve_man Posted January 9, 2009 Members Share Posted January 9, 2009 Every time I see a guitarist up on stage with uncut guitar strings I want to run up and punch them in the face with one hand while trimming their strings with another. Am I the only one that has such a visceral reaction to the sight of uncut guitar strings? And why do some players do that? Is it just laziness or does it serve some other purpose?
