What a great sounding and great looking guitar. That's a great demo. The bigsby really looks at home on it.

I've only had one guitar with a bigsby, and it was always in the way for me. See how he is always reaching around the arm? Easy to get used to for most, but I never got used to it. :-(

Anyway-- I really like the vintage vibe of these Starlas, Miras, and the SC245 (might there be a NGD for me upcoming?

The only thing that puzzles me is why does the bigsby-less Mira come with locking tuners and the bigsby Starla model come with non-locking tuners?

The Kluson tuners on the Starla are a nod to its vintage-vibe target. The SC245 has them too, while the SC250 (the 'modern' SC version) has locking tuners. I think that since the Bigsby trem doesn't really move the string aggressively over the nut, that it can still be very stable in holding tune w/o the locking tuners.

My pre-lawsuit SC also has Klusons (as they always keep the LP legacy in mind).
