Members thunder100 Posted February 2, 2009 Members Share Posted February 2, 2009 Dear Boys I got as a christmas gift a set of Fender CS 69 pickups.First I wanted to put them to my Highway 1,then I thought i buy a MIM and put it in there,then I played a CS69 equipped one in a shop-->I was underwhelmed-->I am definitely not Jimmy Hendrix But in the meantime I was gassing for a new guitar(once you go,you go) And I am long in love with seafoamgreen or surf green So finally here we are 2002 American Standard limited run with Custom shop wood and finish and '57/'62 Pickup Wow I am happy,pretty sound,not thin and endless sustain Originally I play Rock(Hwy 1) with help from the HC forum I learned a bit of country and western (mainly the GL but also the Hwy on with the Chatmods compressor) and recently fall in love with some classics like Mozart(may sound stupid to many of you) and a bit of Jazz.The surf green lady with its pickups and sustain is the ringer on Sidney Bechets Petite Fleur So life is good http://img293.imageshack.us/my.php?image=statocastersurfgreencsahd0.jpg The 3 ladys My pedals(the ones I use) Its a great day Roland Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
