Members mbengs1
I heard sammy hagar's guitarist using one and it sounds great. but i still think it's a waste, man. Les Pauls are supposed to be stop-tail...
Members Bucksstudent
Do you realize that other people read your threads? It's almost like you're in the middle of a conversation that we're not privy to. Don't you already have guitars with a Floyd? There are so many out there that cutting up a Les Paul to do it is asinine.
Members WRGKMC
I don't think he's advocating one. A Bigsby does the job nicely, but it doesn't have fine tuners so it wont work with a locking nut. . A Floyd on a Paul wouldn't be easy to install because of all the routing needed plus the tops curved and the neck angle requires a higher bridge. There are other Paul type guitars more suitable for one. I suppose if you have the money and its something you must have, you can get it done. You'll just have allot of people cringe in the thought of it. I'd think a Kahler is a much better solution however. Its a shallow route and you don't need the entire back cut out to install the springs and fulcrum block.

Members billybilly
cutting up a Les Paul to do it is asinine. Absolutely... It is not longer a Les Paul once a Floyd is present.
Members soundcreation
Nothing is "sacred" to me.....want a floyd on your LP....go for it. Personally I think the Access is about the only decent thing Gibson has come up with in the past 30 years. (might be a bit of hyperbole in that statement so relax...) Members Grant Harding
It's an electric guitar. Modify it however you need to fit your style. If you feel some sort of sadness at the thought of a LP with a wammy bar maybe not. Perhaps a shrine of some sort, with dried flowers and a poem about the guitar might be more appropriate?
