Members Still.ill
i like nevermind.... but i listen to siamese dream like everyday-- it seems to me it has the catchier songs/better structure/better guitar work it helps me get through my {censored}ty life
Members jordanjordan
Nirvana. These were about the only bands I listened to as a teenager. Even without all of the horrendous crap Billy is doing to SP, Nirvana always had more substance to me.
Members TravvyBear
Nirvana. I like SP too, but, Nirvana has the better songs to me.
Members AnderMocs
I'll say it, i'm not really a smashing pumpkins fan. Melancholy had some really cool songs, but overall, not a fan.

Members placebo62
SP, but only to Adore. I was more art school fag than punk rocker in the 90s, but loved them both.
Members Stratman Tigers
When I was five, I woulda said the Pumpkins. When I was twelve, I woulda said Nirvana. However, lately I've found I enjoy the Pumpkins just a bit more right now.

Members fightthepower
I listened to Nirvana when they were still around, always hated the pumpkins. Always thought he had a pansy voice on the radio stuff, and tried to sound hardcore in live footage. Not sure what they sound like now but I'm not really interested. Members Boron
My head says Nirvana - bigger influence, I guess you could say more artistic integrity, less overblown, cooler inspirations... ...but... The Pumpkins were 1,000x more important to me as a teen. Gish came out when I was 11 and I pretty much kissed goodbye with Machina as a 20 year old. In between times I loved SP so much it was almost unhealthy. So heart says SP. In hindsight I can see how ridiculous the Pumpkins and Corgan were to the proper (jaded) indie set back then.. but my god it was fun to grow up with them. A generation before it would've definitely been the Smiths, Cocteau Twins and the Cure.

Members Marmoset King
I'd say Pumpkins, much more of an influence on me than Nirvana. I've no real interest in what the Pumpkins do now though, i've moved on. Did see Nirvana live when Nevermind came out - one of the most disappointing gigs i've been to sadly.
