  1. Dream acoustic? NK Forster Session King 6 string, first generation. But that's not gonna happen.

  3. Yes, S1 connects the positive side (hot) of the two speakers to put them in parallel. The negative side (ground) is always connected. This assumes that the two "stereo" channels come from the same amp so they have the same ground reference. If you're using them with two amps, get a dual pole switch and add it to the connection between the negative sides of the speakers. Remember, if the two speakers share the same speaker cavity, there will be acoustic coupling between them. If you play a tone in one speaker, the other one will move in and out too because the air inside the cabinet loosely ties them together.
  4. Try this. If you want completely independent stereo speakers, change S1 to DPST to interrupt the ground connection between the speakers.
  5. Take three. I think I misread the fender jack wiring diagram. From the way it's drawn, I ass-u-med that the switch common connections are connected to ring and tip when the plug is inserted. On second look, I don't think that's the case. If my new reading is correct, the original configuration will work.
  6. Oops! Thought it through, and the integrated switch won't work. You'll have to get a separate DPDT toggle switch and wire it for series/parallel selection of the internal speakers. Make sure the hot connection on the external jack is disconnected when in parallel "internal mode".
  7. Get one of these: https://guitarelectronics.com/fender-9-pin-1-4-stereo-jack-for-guitar-w-dpdt-battery-switch/ Have a tech install it in your combo and wire it up so the internal speakers are in parallel when there's no extension cab attached and are in series when the external cab is attached. Make sure he pays attention to polarity of the speakers so the internal ones aren't out of phase when the cab is attached. Add a label that says "16-ohms only" next to the new jack.
  8. Drive both pedal inputs in parallel and ABY the outputs. Input impedance is probably high enough that the two in parallel won't be too much of a load. Or put a big-ass capacitor in series with one of the outputs before wiring them together.
  9. It's two 6L6's rated at 30W so it's gotta be class AB
  10. Yes, but WD40 is eight times better and it has a "W". (Just kidding folks, don't do this at home)
  11. The pentode portion of the ECF82 is the tremolo oscillator, which has no direct effect on tone. It modulates the bias point of the EF86 which creates the tremolo. If you remove, the ECF82, you'll want to play with the value of the 1.5K resistor connected to the EF86 cathode. This resistor sets the bias point of the EF86. Vary this to taste. The triode portion of the ECF82 is the amplification stage for the normal inputs. Again, this does not effect the the EF86 channel tone. Right now the ECC83 phase splitter goes through a .01 capacitor to the normal volume pot. When you remove the ECF82, you can tie the capacitor directly to ground. You can add a fixed resistor in place of the volume pot if you think it changes the tone. The three .005 capacitors connected to 1Mohm resistors (going into the tremolo volume pot) are there to remove the modulation signal from the input signal. You could take these out, but they will have an effect on tone so try it both ways and see how it sounds. Good luck
  12. Pretty straightforward circuit, shouldn't be a difficult build. If you don't need the tremolo and are willing to give up the "normal" channel inputs, it's just an EF86 preamp, ECC83/12AX7 phase splitter, two EL84 power amp tubes, and an EZ81 rectifier. Make sure they include the choke filter in the power supply.
  13. Don't neglect the vintage Juniors - single and double cut. Those old P90s kick a**. Personally, I love short-scale guitars every now and then for a change of pace (my '57 ES-140 is a blast to play). They made some 3/4 juniors IIRC, might want to check them out. Rare but probably not crazy expensive.
  14. Looks pretty cool at reasonable prices. Looking forward to feedback from users.
  15. RJ Ronquillo could make a broomstick and a rubber band sound awewsome.
  16. Not cheap, but a Clarus SL might fit the bill if you're going for clean sounds: https://www.premierguitar.com/acoustic-image-introduces-clarus-sl-and-sl-r-models You'll need a speaker cab too.
  17. The Ughen people are a peaceful lot and they resent you taking their name in vain.
  18. Pretentious people, like myself, use archaic words, as is their wont. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/wont
  19. Don't know that amp specifically but the effects loop jack may have an integral switch that disconnects the preamp. That switch could be worn out. It's a pretty simple repair but in the meantime try just putting a patch cable to jumper the send to return.
