  1. I bought a 1969 Fender Mustang in 2001 and when I got it one of the pickups was missing. At some point, I believe the other original pickup may have been stolen while it was removed, so I have zero original pickups remaining. I ended up putting Duncan Hot Rails in the bridge and then a Duncan JB Jr (or maybe a lil '59er, I can't quite remember) in the neck. I wired the switches so that the pickups could be used either as humbuckers or as as single coil. Just how bad would you anticipate that the rails pickups would sound with single coil switches? Sounds okay to me, but I have been told this is not an ideal configuration. Anyways, I wanted to try surf music and plan on using single coils more often as well as the tremolo on this guitar. Also, I'm considering selling this guitar. I don't think the current prices for gear are sustainable, and I don't play this guitar much and I thought about selling the axe and buying some index funds which are more fairly priced at the moment. Sort of feels like selling my soul, though. What would be a good choice to replace the hot rails on this instrument both for resale value and for sound? I was thinking of either Seymour Duncan Antiquity II Mustang Pickups or Lindy Fralin Mustang Pickups. They both seem nice. The aging process on the Duncans really makes them look a lot like the original pickups What other choices am I overlooking? The Kinman noiseless Mustang pickups seem nice also. Klein pickups makes an actual 1969 reproduction: https://www.kleinpickups.com/p-391-1969-epic-series-mustang-pickups.aspx
  2. Is the Synergy SYN-30C Class A or Class AB? Or does it change in relation to the preamp module that is used?
  3. Hi, You know how Fender took one channel of the 1968 Pro Reverb amp and they made a 1x12" combo out of it? Well, I am looking for an amp that is basically the same thing, except starting with a 1963 Brownface Pro Amp instead. Is there an amp out there that is exactly like one channel of the 1963 Brownface Pro Amp? I like the 1963 Brownface Pro but the extra channel just adds a lot of weight. Can't do 6V6, sorry; this is for surf music.
