  4. Austin, TX (August 13, 2013) – BASSMAXX announces their new SSP215 Profundo Subwoofer , adual 15” loudspeaker powered by a 4000W amplifier with comprehensive onboard DSP. Thanks to its low height of only 17.5”, this extremely powerful sub can be placed under low stages and ceilings, and in tight corners where larger boxes won’t fit. Its largest dimension is 48” wide, which, when turned on end, makes the box an excellent stack platform for getting top boxes above the heads of the audience. The depth is a mere 22.5”, allowing it to be placed in front of stages with minimal loss of audience area and making the SSP215 a perfect truck-pack size for both 90” and 96” trucks. It’s also an outrageous drum monitor sub that minimizes space but maximizes impact. At about half the size of the average double 18” subwoofer, the SSP215 is ideal for the mobile professional who needs substantial bass output but has limited transport space. For installations in lounges or restaurants where sound quality is a priority and space is limited, the SSP215 will comfortably take the place of double 18” boxes without loss of output or diminished frequency range while taking significantly less floor space. The SSP215 easily competes with most double 18″ subwoofers on the market, providing equal or better output with significantly less size and weight. The SSP215 is tuned low, providing linear response down to 35Hz (±3 dB) for use as a real subwoofer, with long-excursion, low distortion 15” woofers, and, thanks to the lower mass of the 15” cones, it delivers a tight, punchy sound as well as the deep, rolling bass. The included amplifier provides 2400W to the on-board woofers. In addition, the amplifier can power a second matching cabinet, providing a total of 4000W. The SSP215 is a 4800W program rated double 15. The woofers have 4” voice coils and a power handling rating of 1200W rms and 2400W program each. The DSP features 96Khz, 24 bit processing, and provides high-pass and low-pass filtering, limiting and time alignment functions. Controls include an input attenuator and mute button. Touring options include a 4-wheel transport cart with locking casters and covers for one, two or three cabinets on a cart. Installation versions are available with 16 x 3/8” threaded flypoints, and the included amplification and processing package can be ordered in a 2-space rack chassis. All BASSMAXX products come with the BASSMAXX “Sound Defense” warranty that covers failed drivers, including burned voice coils, for two years. If a voice coil, or any other part, fails within the warranty period, replacement parts will be provided without charge. Highlights: Half the size of the SSP218 boxes High SPL output beats most double 18” subs Deep bass output comparable to double 18” subs Convenient shape for lifting and loading Truck pack dimensions for touring Very low profile for under stages or low ceilings Pricing & Availability The SSP215 Profundo Subwoofer is $5148.00 MSRP.

  10. Begin your Ambient Metal journey anew with 'Ambient Metal Constructions Vol 4'. This newest instalment puts a new spin on the popular series, this time placing more emphasis on dense soundscapes and brooding atmospheres, all the while maintaining the gritty edge that gave volumes 1-3 their distinctive sound. Inside you'll find crushing rhythm guitars, ethereal lead guitars and a whole host of otherworldly synths perfectly suited to a variety of contemporary styles, as well as soundtracks, trailers and games. MIDI Files Included: Like so many other Producer Loops products, 'Ambient Metal Constructions Vol 4' includes MIDI files for the majority of musical phrases heard in each Kit, allowing you to seamlessly mix your favourite synths and samplers with the sounds contained in the pack. Advantages of MIDI: While the supplied ACID/Apple Loops/REX content is extremely flexible and powerful, MIDI has the added benefit of allowing you to go to extremes of pitch and tempo beyond which the loops were originally recorded, with no time stretching or pitch shifting artefacts. Furthermore, you can make tweaks to the riffs so they fit perfectly into your existing mixes. Dry/Wet Loops: For users looking to simply drag and drop, the 'wet' files contain all of the effects processing heard in the audio demos. But for producers looking to create their own effects mix, 'dry' loops are also included. Don't like the wet loops? No problem, add your own effects. Unlooped Riffs/Tails: This sample library also comes with unlooped/tail versions allowing you to end a phrase with the decay of the reverb/delay applied to the loop, another "Producer Loops" exclusive product feature. Used in conjunction with the seamlessly looping files you can start, loop and end any phrase in an entirely natural manner. Royalty-Free: All of the loops in this product are 100\% Royalty-Free (including the vocal loops), so once purchased, you can use these loops in your commercial releases without having to pay any hidden costs. Specifications: • 5 Construction Kits • ACIDized WAV Files • Apple Loops/AIFF Files • REX2 Loops • Reason ReFill • Loops sync to BPM • 44.1 kHz/24-Bit • PC/Mac Compatible • Royalty-Free (No Exceptions) Price and Availability: Ambient Metal Constructions Vol 4 is available for instant download exclusively at ProducerLoops.com for £39.95 / 46,69 EUR / $51.69 USD. 11. Woodinville, WA, USA – August 9, 2013 – Ampeg today extends its industry-dominating Classic Series cabinet line with two new models – The SVT-112AV and SVT-212AV. Both feature custom 12-inch drivers from Eminence and represent the first time Ampeg has offered a bass cabinet with 12-inch drivers in nearly a decade. “There is something amazing about using 12-inch drivers on a bass cabinet,” remarks Ampeg Product Manager Zane Williams. “They are the perfect size to bridge the gap between the fast transient response players want and the rich low end they expect from an Ampeg SVT cab.” Both new cabinets are built using rugged 15mm poplar ply and deliver on the vintage Ampeg look, featuring AV Tolex and grille cloth. The classic black grille is available separately from Ampeg for those that want to pair the cab with an SVT-CL or other Ampeg head. With a choice of a single or dual 12’’ design, both with a 1” compression driver, the new SVT cabs provide even more possibilities when building an Ampeg bass rig. Rated at 300W RMS power handling at 8 ohms, the SVT-112AV is a great match with PF-350, Micro-VR or for integrating with other Ampeg cabinets into a single rig. The SVT-212AV is a 4 ohm cab rated for 600W RMS. This is perfect for the all-new V-4B along with other heads like the SVT-CL, SVT-VR or PF-500. “With these new more compact and lightweight cabinets in the Classic line, creating a modular Ampeg rig just got easier,” concluded Williams. The new Ampeg SVT-112AV and SVT-212AV join the other Ampeg Classic Series cabinets and will be available in September, 2013. The SVT-112AV will have a U.S. MSRP of $699.99. The SVT-212AV will have a U.S. MSRP of $979.99. For more information on Ampeg Classic Series cabinets visit www.ampeg.com/products/classic.
  12. Woodinville, WA, USA – August 9, 2013 – Ampeg today announces a truly remarkable reissue of the legendary V-4B 100W All-Tube Bass Head. The original earned a place in bass history, delivering pure all-tube tone and an unmistakable grind that is truly one-of-a-kind. The all-new V-4B head embodies this legendary tone in a stage-worthy package that is unquestionably V-4B. “From the vintage rocker switches to the unique integrated chassis suspension system...the attention to detail is all there,” remarks Ampeg Product Manager Zane Williams. “And, of course, the tone had to be perfect. It’s the classic all-tube Ampeg sound in a head that’s less than half the weight of a SVT. You’ve got to love that.” While the new V-4B is sure to appeal to fans of the classic original, it is also ideal for bassists who crave the tone of the Ampeg SVT head, but don’t need that level of power or who want a more portable option. The V-4B is the same width as the SVT-CL and SVT-VR head and fits securely onto any Classic Series Ampeg cabinet including the all-new SVT-112AV and SVT-212AV. “100 watts of all-tube power is really a sweet spot for professional bassists,” remarks Ampeg Product Manager Zane Williams. “With the new V-4B you not only get the sought-after tone of a fully-cranked Ampeg tube amp at volumes more suitable for modern venues and applications, you also benefit from a huge gain in portability.” The Ampeg V-4B design process involved sampling a wide range of vintage V-4B heads for reference with a goal of achieving preamp and power section circuits and overall tone that are undeniably V-4B. However, by using a modern-day analog approach, there is an increase in both reliability and serviceability. A focused addition of modern features includes an integrated DI with ground lift, a -15dB input for active basses and a range of speaker outputs at different impedances. Maintaining the tone and integrity of the classic V-4B was the primary design goal, but the addition of these features adds flexibility and functionality perfect for today’s players. The new Ampeg V-4B joins the other Ampeg Classic Series heads and will be available in September, 2013 with a U.S. MSRP of $1819.99. 23. Vancouver BC, Canada - Radial Engineering Ltd. is pleased to announce that it has updated the SW8 backing track switcher with several new features and functions. The SW8 is designed to switch 8 audio channels simultaneously. Backing tracks are recorded on two separate systems and each is sent to the SW8 where the user may manually select between the playback systems or have the SW8 automatically switch between them when a drop-out occurs via an internal gate. Inputs include a choice of 1/4" TRS or 25 pin D-subs. The outputs can be via a series of transformer isolated low-Z XLR outputs to run through a snake system or a D-Sub. According to Radial's President Peter Janis: "Over the past several years, the Radial SW8 has gained tremendous market penetration with major tours such as The Eagles, Rush, Rihanna, Maroon 5 and Cirque Du Soleil using it along with being employed in a wide variety of permanent installations to provide safety backup. During this time we have had many discussions with the technicians who use the SW8 on a daily basis. This input has driven us to develop a next-generation switcher that will elevate the performance in several key areas such as managing standby status more effectively, muting the main audio outputs to enable on-the-fly editing and providing remote controllability with LED status indicators." New features include: A 'standby' function that enables the technician to stop the show in between songs when the artist chooses to speak to the audience. A global mute turns off all outputs allowing the tech to monitor playback tracks and prepare playback cue points. Two signal status LEDs have been added for both A and B playback systems providing visual indicators to show signal present. External remote control options now include either a footswitch or desktop options with LED status indicators. To help eliminate switching noise with less than ideal sources, a series of filters have been added on all channels. Gate level controls have also been relocated to the front panel for easier manipulation. The updated SW8 is now shipping.
