Capable of a painful thresh hold. It's called a Long Range Acoustical Device.

The speaker device is unlike a conical speaker. It seems to be flat and made of a white plastic foam material. Not unlike the failed flat/thin styrofoam speakers from 20 years ago. I don't know the power of the amp in this video though.

This speaker isn't very big either. I wonder if it's got tone?

I want to plug my guitar into this.

Effective as a dispersal tool? I don't know.

The tone the police have been using for crowd control is designed to resonate your jaw and bone structure. It's extremely painful and seems much louder as a result than it would based solely on the SPL level. Longer than a few seconds exposure can result in permanent hearing damage.

I'm damaged already.

It doesn't matter any more.

I'm not deaf!

I can hear the ringing in my ears perfectly.

Even when I'm sleeping.

I've had em used on me and they hurt like hell. The crappy part is, because the tone resonates through your bone structure, covering or plugging your ears has almost no effect.

Okay, I have to ask. Why was an LRAD used on you, and where?
