Members Hubert Stumblin
Since I already have a Strat I'm gassing for a Tele. So I say get the Tele.
Members csm
Strat, I need a whammy bar. Me too ... I find it a more flexible and adaptable guitar. However -- for anything which DOESN'T need a whammy (like a straight rhythm-guitar session), I'll take my Tele, which actually sounds better ... but then I cheat by having a Strat PU in the Tele's neck slot. Members StillRock
I prefer the flexibility of the Strat. I also like the body contour. That said, I used my Tele for teaching yesterday, while my Strat stayed at home.

I do like the way Teles look tho, very utilitarian. They're sort of like the crocodiles and alligators of electric guitars: Dinosaurs, but still going strong. Members Ralph onion
My first real guitar was a Tele which I still have, I bought it when I was 17 at Little Joe's in Vincennes, IN, I am 63 now. Best investment I ever made!

Members BydoEmpire
I do love teles, but strats come in so many varieties... I also like the belly curve. Had to vote strat.
Members Zledi
I have never enjoyed playing a strat style guitar very much or the sounds out of it. However I loved every moment of playing my dad's Tele until he sold it. I'd go Tele.
Members Chill Mike D
Right now I'm voting Telecaster because I have one of those and don't have a Strat. But I recently played one of those Road Worn 60s Strats and that was really nice. I just wish it was a lot cheaper.
