Members Muddslide Posted June 18, 2009 Members Share Posted June 18, 2009 Man. What is that? It's kind of a budget version of a Yamaha model from the 60s called an SGV 800. They also made an SGV 300. This one isn't either of those. And it's a reissue from the 90s I believe. This body style is also called the "Flying Samurai" but the original SGV300s and 800s (as well as the 90s reissues) had more Jazzmaster-like trem units and something more like P-90 pickups. And matching painted headstocks. This one, as you can see, has a Strat-style pup configuration and trem system and an unpainted headstock (just says "Yamaha" on it.)
