Members lefchr
I went strat just cause I prefer them to sg's, but that doesn't mean anything really. You may like the sg better.
Members brianeharmonjr
The current American Standard Strats are killer guitars.
Members Deadbeat Son
I've always thought SGs were ugly guitars. HOWEVER, they are comfortable to play and have a sound that just brings the ROCK!
Members billybilly
Those horns are too wanna be devilish for me so I voted strat. Now strat vs les paul, now that's a match in heaven. One of both please.
Members hondro
why choose? Get one now, doesn't really matter, then get the next later
Members Special J
I voted Strat. Never been a fan of the way an SG feels. That's just me though. I love the way they sound!
Members Mesa/Kramer
I A/B'd a USA Fat Strat with a Faded SG through a Mesa Electrodyne amp about a month ago. Was actually just checking out the amp and those were the 2 guitars hanging nearest to the amp. I could'nt believe how much bettern the SG sounded as compared to the Strat. The Strat was dull sounding, but the SG just resonated with a real sweet tone.
Members steve_man
Of those two...the Strat... or just get an American Tele...
Members Dr. Scottie C
No contest for me.....Strat I would take a MIM strat to the stage over a Gibson Custom Shop Gibson's never feel right to me, and I have owned some damn nice ones. I realize I love the sexy curves and contours of a strat. If a guitar doesn't have a deep body contour (like a strat)..... I don't even want to pick it up. period. When Gibson makes a LP (besides the hoaky "The Paul" models from 1977) with a body contour....someone call me...... until then, set them sum bitches out for the garbage man. My advice is worth what you paid for it.
Members naz420
You gotta have both and a tele and a Les Paul. There is no way around it
