Hell,

The information found in the old Sears catalogs is more informative than what you get at Guitar Center.

Agreed

Plus the Powersound pickups is a Tell tale of Ibanez brands.

The pickups from my Magnum are literally pieces stuffed inside a humbucker with laughable components. No wonder they squealed like a pig. I know the Japanese produce some fine pieces but much of mine is made with ultra cheap and wrong measurement parts ala Metric vs SAE. Even after around $350 spent on her in my life she is still a below Avg player. More of a prop actually lol.

Close, but no cigar. Mine was red and black and had that cheap Kahler knock off abomination trem. If I'm not mistaken, it also had a bound fretboard.

If it had been exactly like my old one, I'd have probably bought it. :D

More from that same place (1983 catalog):

look at that control plate
:p

For the love of god -- I'd give anything to hear that Les Paul-ish monstrosity. Built in distortion, phase, wah, tremelo, whirlwind (WTF?), fuzz and echo!!!

But can it do Fender-like cleans? :poke:

Can it? :poke::poke:

Huh? :poke::poke::poke:
