I refretted it with bass frets several years ago and carved a new nut.

Bass frets are like power steering. Smooth and easy to play. By adding more mass to the neck they also improve tone/sustain.

My custom, Randy as I named her, is without a doubt the best playing/sounding guitar I have played. A while back a (who will remain nameless) friend of mine who isn't an LP player however has some of the nicest guitars/equipment on the planet considering the people he's worked with, the things he's done etc... Played the LP. He kept shaking his head telling me "I am not a fan of Gibson"... He played, and played, and kept flipping it over, looking, took the cavity cover off, you name it. Measured the string height (The lowest action I have ever seen without buzz)...

Simply locked it in the case, looked over his shoulder at me and walked off saying "Thats a keeper".

my god those lps are sexyyyy

You are too kind sir

There is something inherently sexy about a used and abused LP... it's kind of like getting out of town strange. It's like "You know what, I am tired of tip toe-ing around you, it's on bitch!"
