Members yanktar
If you think a Strat is comfortable played while sitting you haven't tried a Jazzmaster! I have both and the Jazzie is PERFECT for sitting while you have to keep scrunching around with the Strat, not that it's bad. As for Steinbergers, they are best for sitting if you use a strap, but you need a thinner one, like an 1"1/2 nylon and one with a long narrow tailpiece or your right arm will keep scraping on it. THEN it's fine for sitting. Since my surgery, I've played all 3, seated and the 'berger, with the strap is easiest on me because of the forced position, and the 'berger being smaller and lighter. But generally, the Jazzie is best. Then again, it's my favorite of the three.
Members DazedDan
Y'all haven't tried playing any of my RockBeach guitars... They are designed for being comfortable sitting in the folk or the classical seating position and are also extremely comfortable standing... The Mantis looks pretty sweet. What do they cost generally?

Members noisebloom
Strats and Explorers. I've said before that the first time I played an Explorer, I fell in love with it, because it felt so natural to play sitting down. My sentiment when I walked away was that I had to have an Explorer. Members sk8centilli
Strats are the most comfortable, period; and so are barcaloungers, but I don't have one of those either. Like both, I wish I did.
Members Tidal Rhythm
As several others have said, it's hard to beat the Stratocaster for seated comfort. However, the Vox Virage deserves mention for it's ergonomic body curve:

Members yanktar
Jaguar Same body as a Jazzmaster. Sits the same. Short-scale neck vs Jazzie's Long-scale.

Members Ratbatblues
I would say any offset and for sure Explorer. Its weird because an Explorer does not look like it would be comfy.
