Members brandass
It fits - he's got the tats, the bike, etc. More invested maybe, but a fellow middle-aged white guy playing the blues, right? Figured I'd work up to jamming with them. Then I looked them up on youtube... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvuQg39FcjY&feature=related Curious to hear what you think. I'm a {censored} player, probably easily impressed, but to me they're smokin'! Got a lot of work ahead of me... BTW, don't know how to embed vid, if somebody can show me the way (or just do it for me, I'm lazy) I'd appreciate it.

Members Grantus
Yeah, quite decent cover band, way better than I am. I wish he'd play a guitar that didn't look so much like SRV's. HvuQg39FcjY&feature=related
Members Hudman
I watched a few of the videos. The guitar player is really good - he is the band in my opinion.
Members billybilly
That guitarist smokes me but I don't care if someone is better than me, most are. You might improve by jamming with your neighbour. I know this, I love to jam with people who are not as good as me and find most people don't care either way. One can only find out... Members brandass
Hey Grantus, thanks for the embedding job, much appreciated! Yeah, my neighbor is the guitarist, and he totally blows me away. Might jam with him some day, he's a super nice guy and would likely take pity on me, but even so I'll need to get way better just to keep up a little bit! I've checked out more vids too, the singer has his moments (like this one for instance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGpXkmMOZAE&feature=related) but yeah, the guitarist seems to be the band's driver. Agree about the knock-off guitar. And in general I think they're a bit too slavish when it comes to repertoire as well - some decent originals (my favorite so far: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iH_xMt8B5-k), but mostly the obvious covers, they'd do well to really mix it up, throw more curveballs and keep it fresh. That said, still impressed!
Members d_dave_c
If you can sing, might be a foot in the door - they could use some back up vocals and some harmonizing. Maybe play some rhythm guitar and sing.

Maybe play some rhythm guitar and sing. I think you're dead on here, they'd be really well served by some back-up vocals and rhythm playing, that'd make they way more versatile. Somebody should do it... but not me!!! I sing worse than I play, and that's really saying something!!!

Members wagdog
I thought it rocked. Great guitar player, bass and drums are tight, singer had it going down - liked the band, would definitely go see 'em.

Members bluesguitar65
Pretty tight blues band. The guitar player looks very familiar. Does he work at Guitar Center?
Members sxyryan
One of the best ways to learn some new tricks is to play with other people. And heck, you don't even have to go too far.
Members Flatspotter
Does your neighbor know you play? Ask him over for a beer and a jam sometime. No self-respecting biker would turn down a beer.
Members brandass
Pretty sure he doesn't work at GC. Beer is a good idea - if he's drunk enough maybe he won't notice my screw-ups. I'll work up to it, something to put a little extra effort into practice.
