Eric Crapton did change the entire guitar playing universe for good.

He made masses of guitarists NOT want to play like him. And THAT was indeed a good thing.

They all, went home and took the blooze training wheels off their guitars and rocked the {censored} out!

You play Country - and you expect us to take your opinion seriously?

I wouldn't, but others have in the past.

I would, but it's not like they suck. Suckage isn't the only alternative to being overrated. There are much more interesting and better players that just get skipped over because they aren't as famous. All these threads are about whose level of fame is mismatched to their level of skill. These three are up there for sure (Jimmy Page to the least extent though). He's quite the accomplished writer/hit maker, but a lot of people conflate that with his skill level. He's no better than most of the other guitarists in his genre. I'm not calling him a bad player by any means, he's just not what other people make him out to be. I don't think he puts himself out like that.
