Members SirJackdeFuzz
Sounds like me and Neil Fallon have the same taste in pick ups . . . From the Bare Knuckle New Letter : "BKPs featured in the new Guitar World Buyer's Guide include:Mississippi Queen HSP-90A true P90 single coil mounted onto a humbucker chassis. Our firsthumbucker-size P90 and the benchmark for all HSP90 tone - a firmfavourite. Neil Fallon of Clutch, recently had this to say about theMississippi Queens: "I got the Mississippi Queens installed in my LP.They sound amazing! I'm really, really pleased with these! Restassured, I will run my mouth to everyone about how great these pickupsare." I have the bridge unit.Got it a during my last few weeks on my last contract.Think it will go into a DBZ Imperial. For those Leslie West/Mountain kinda tones.

Members jpnyc
So I just discovered Acid Witch. What are they using to get that guitar tone with the bottomless low end? Did they get Mesa to build a custom 4x18" cab or something? Damn it sounds nice!
Members zer0psi
I just got my 6505 today. Cranked everything on the Crunch channel, resonance and low on full, and went at it via Telecaster neck pickup and mmm...nice and doomy. Well, close enough in my book...TS9 didn't hurt. Members SirJackdeFuzz
didn't hurt. CONGRATZ ON THE NEW AMP !!! I always feel that an OD add unwanted tite'ness to my amp's low end, so i try to stay clear from any over drive when i want a (((LOOSE))) DOOM Low End EDIT : I started liking the Peavy 5150/5605 tone, but only after i heard that they can sound like this ! I really LIKE the vocalist's tone that he gets in the beginning. 00:36sec - 1:29sec I can not see what model Peavy's they are using though. Members zer0psi
The resonance being full on combined with the neck pickup brought out some hellish low end...didn't exactly get tamed or tightened up fully by the TS9.
Members curseoftruth
I used to run my old TS808 through my Marshall DSL100 on the dirt channel and it created the Boston tone like you wouldn't believe - especially on my old (and long ago sold) Fernandez Ravelle. I'd crank up a little more OD on the 808 and on the JB pup (bridge), I'd get killer Brian May tones all day long. Only if I could play like him lol. Man, the Fuzz is going to have two killer shows to announce soon - we already have the Eyehategod show but that same week is another amazing show and it looks like Oct. 14 there will be even another show coming through we'll be playing. Totally psyched abut the fall show schedule - in a 3 week period 3 killer bands we'll be opening for. We just can't announce these yet due to the bands needing to announce tours and such and I suppose making sure tour routing is sewed up.

Members SirJackdeFuzz
. . . ^ ^ ^ . . . and why not !!! I was thinking about getting a used Tele, and replace the stock single coil bridge with a tasty 'lil 59 for Tele. I keep the overall traditional single coil Tele-look, with hum-free, almost PAF-sounding little humbucker !!!
Members zer0psi
I will be picking up a black maple board Greco Tele and that's exactly what I'm gonna go. I want both!
