Members bikehorn
I really want one of these basses. It's almost ideal for my purposes. I think I would have everything I need if I had one of these and a 4003.
Members t3ch
Off topic, but... I am NOT a fan of fenders at all, but I'm pretty in love with the jaguar. I've heard bad things about it though; that in the price range you can get something much better. Or maybe it was there was something similar to it that you'd be much better off with, or... Ah hell I don't know.
Members sunburstbasser
I liked the playability of the one I played, but it seemed somewhat difficult to get good sounds out of it. I usually don't care for active Js of any kind, otherwise I'm sure it would have sounded great. In passive it was good.
Members AnalogKid
I always used mine in passive mode. I tried to use the active mode, but I preferred the Jazz-ish tone it got in passive mode with both pickups on. Actually, one of my favorite things to do was to solo the bridge p/u and run it in series so that it was still hum-cancelling. Kinda of got a Stingray-ish tone, well as close as any Fender with single-coils will ever get. Very versatile. My old one is for sale (see siggy) if anyone wants it.
