Not sure how practical. Great. Another drummer that drinks too much (oil in this case), takes forever to setup and load out and probably moody has hell too. Big improvement. Looks like it's based on the same technology that made possible the music box and player piano. Sync one up with a player piano and you'd have something really weird. He should paint it up like something out of a Tim Burton movie...put big galoshes on the kick drum "feet" and stuff. There was a restaurant in Port Huron called "Diana's Sweet Shoppe". One of the features was some sort of bizarre turn-of-the-century music boxes that featured (I believe) a violin (yes, a violin), accordion, piano, and some sort of percussion that was automated like that.
