Members wheresgrant3
Having a DJ makes it easier to disguise your backing tracks as well. Everyone just assumes anything not obviuosly being played live is a "sample" and is impressed by the way you're mixing live music with DJ-ing. DJ-ing is apparently more widely respected than playing to a BT. Except that he doesn't run any backing tracks... our other keyboardist does. He creates them, quantizes and locks them in tap tempo. So although it's a diversion having the DJ in the band... the keyboard player who is front and center is really doing the work.

Members TIMKEYS
I'm not trying to argue with you.. but we see plenty of people in clubs in the 25-40 year old age group, ALL THE TIME, 3-5 nights a week.... and how can you argue with David when it's obvious that he knows his niche and market way better than you, I, or most of the rest of HC possibly could? Yup ,, they are still playing the mating game or are drunks or both lol. The office party may well be an event that is going south. companies are getting tight with the money and their legal depts are having kittens about the liability of the whole deal. Another thing that happened in michigan when I was living there was that ,,, companies were doing big downsizing. Some companaies cut the office party , because they had alot of people who just got fired.. and thowing a big expensive office parties had the potential of triggering wrongfull termination suits. the old , they didnt have enough money to keep my job , but the assholes just blew 30 grand on a big ass party on the ones left standing. Guido is on target with hitting the 35 to 45 range ,, thats the bulk of who you gotta keep happy. the DJ isnt a bad idea either.
