They come in a plasic enclosure, have an awesome horn, and put out pretty good bass for a 12, have a linkwitz riley crossover, made in the UK. They sell for around 500 bucks a pair. Check them out. I hear the guitar perdominantly but the singers words seemed drowned out by the acoustic. Anyone heard of QSC speakers? Heard them at the local music store and they sound very good. Ok,.... so Bose a company that I have never seen giving any kind of discounts is giving rebates on their high quality L1 Portable Line Array Systems. What gives? Is it the economy? It was ok but not near as good as the Eons the regular solo guitar player uses in the same venue. I guess its apples and oranges ..... but mackies and JBL sound better then the bose. Members deMille Posted December 15, 2008 Members Share Posted December 15, 2008 Used Mackie 450's can be had for about 800.00 a pair and the 350's were recently 300.00 each for brand new ones. I use both, depending on the venue, with a Mackie 1202 VLZ that I got on craigslist for 100 bucks. I also use a Bose L1 Model 1 and it is fantastic. Again, depends on the venue. Each system works best at particular places. Some of the local venues have in-house systems but they are often the Peavey Escorts or other "all in one's" that I don't think even come close to a good setup in real quality sound. I have made do with them on occasion but prefer my own. Once in a while, when the gods are smiling, a house will have a wonderful system with a tech who knows how to set things! QSC, Wharfedale and others make excellent stuff too but it seems rare the audience really hears much difference with the better systems so I don't go the extra cost. I think it is more the performer. A bad system will almost trash the best player but few will be disappointed when hearing the same person through good gear. I hope to work with the Fishman soon. The E10P is 12" x 13" x 18.5" @ 34Lbs and the LS200P sub is 27" x 17.5" x 14" @ 55.1 Lbs. I think this may be an excellent micro PA. I've been using my Acoustic Image amp as a mini PA lately.It sounds great, plenty loud, will drive another speaker, has great lows ( designed originally for bass),plenty of routing options, and is very small and very light.Also not cheap. All of your past posts have been about YOUR new product. Really, there's both a give and take about this kind of thing. YOu seem to understand the take part, how about some giving?
