Members ksl
Hi all~ At a friend's suggestion, I went with the TC's Hall of Fame 2 (over the Oceans 11), & have been totally 'taken' by that pedal's shimmer effect, one that I've yet to encounter!! Between my Sustainer guitars & my now ignored E-Bow of 40 yrs, I must be in heaven, BUT is there any ($200 tops) pedal out there specializes and/or excels at the 'shimmer' thing?,, Something that might offer some parameter options as opposed to the rather simple, but glorious, HOF2's shimmer effect?? Even a dedicated, 'shimmer-only' would be great, but something at least as good as the TC's....? Thnx in advance~

I have an old hall of fame on my pedalboard .Size was an important issue. This all I use and have for a decade. Almost 5 bills 300 bucks
Moderators daddymack Posted February 10, 2022 Moderators Share Posted February 10, 2022 The only other one I could think of even close to that price range with 'shimmer' was the Walrus Mako, but even those go well over 2 bills used. but after thinking about it, Neunabor has one that runs under $200...Mooer as well [probably plenty of Chinese/Asian knockoffs]...and then it struck me...TC has their 'Fluorescence' pedal that is all about the shimmer, and it is under 100... https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Fluorescence--tc-electronic-fluorescence-shimmer-reverb-pedal?mrkgadid=3331288070&mrkgcl=28&mrkgen=gpla&mrkgbflag=0&mrkgcat=guitars&acctid=21700000001645388&dskeywordid=92700046938600670&lid=92700046938600670&ds_s_kwgid=58700005283398299&ds_s_inventory_feed_id=97700000007215323&dsproductgroupid=373037011609&product_id=Fluorescence&prodctry=US&prodlang=en&channel=online&storeid=&device=c&network=g&matchtype=&adpos=largenumber&locationid=9031634&creative=332063179659&targetid=pla-373037011609&campaignid=1708733951&awsearchcpc=1&&mrkgcl=28&mrkgadid=3331288070&product_id=Fluorescence&campaigntype=shopping&campaign=aaShopping%20-%20Core%20-%20Guitars%20-%20Vendor&adgroup=Guitars%20-%20Guitar%20Pedals%20%26%20Effects&placement=google&creative=332063179659&device=c&matchtype=&network=g&gclid=Cj0KCQiAjJOQBhCkARIsAEKMtO0InmXtQhya_n5p_MCkBrKiGU0ez8ktSprRiomznqPzVPcw7mb3aX8aAo1UEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
Moderators daddymack Posted February 11, 2022 Moderators Share Posted February 11, 2022 lo and behold I ran across this newer model today, the Fender Dual Marine Layer, which they say does the shimmer thing... It streets at $229, so in a few months used units will be under two bills...😉
