Members Anderton Posted May 16, 2016 Members Posted May 16, 2016 Wouldn't mind suffering the same fate when my time is up. Congrats to one tough lady for a life dedicated to music. I love the quote from bassist who played alongside her "“She seemed to be made of bass resin and barbed wire."
Members AlamoJoe Posted May 16, 2016 Members Posted May 16, 2016 Speaks well of her does it not? Play until it's over....Then play on...
Phil O'Keefe Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 She went out doing what she loved - it doesn't get any better than that.
Members Anderton Posted May 17, 2016 Author Members Posted May 17, 2016 The only way it could have been better is if she had died during the applause after the piece was finished.
Members Folder Posted May 17, 2016 Members Posted May 17, 2016 I saw the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Chorus perform Mahler's "Resurrection" Symphony last September. Jane had injured her back and was taking steroids but everybody knew she would be back this year because she wanted to break the world record. And she did it ! Wow what a story.
