Members sonaboy
i think there's two different models that have the name Tennessee Rose - one has painted on F holes, and the other more expensive one has real F holes.

Members mike.sartori
I gotta say, I'm not a fan of those guitars. Mostly stems from a friend of mine who bought one, insisting that a gretsch hollowbody has a "really warm tone" but he NEVER used the bridge pickup or the tone knob. His tone sucked. Several Gretsch models - going back decades - have featured the faux F holes on their hollow bodies. Whether you dig it or not is certainly a personal preference thing, but it's not something new that they just started doing.
Members Kap'n
Yep, the f(aux)-holes are to resist feedback. I had an old Tennessean with(out) them. They'll still feed back. I mean, it's not a completely sealed chamber - there are holes for the pickups, the three knobs and the three switches. They still sound hollow, too. Nice guitars. Members leftyjay
i'm tore between a lefty falcon or a penguin. i would think a penguin would be harder to come by. i see quite a few falcons floating around.
