Members Dynasoar
Learn how to use Samus, Falco, or Fox well, and you will never lose unless it's a one-on-one match with someone amazing with Sheik.
Members elxchino
Can't wait for brawl to come out. Makes me want to get a wii. I too like to use Fox, Falco, and Samus.
Members Roadstar II
Eat someone with Yoshi and jump off a cliff. Chances are, they won't recover. Better yet, eat someone and spit them off a cliff. This will lead to a lower mortality rate for you.
Members Destructobot
I always thought Pikachu was pretty mean in that game, super fast. I mostly rocked Link, DK, and Ness though. The two best pieces of advice are: use your damn shield, and practice to learn the timing of everything. You need to be able to intuitively know when you can attack without leaving yourself open to counter attack.

Members Dumpling
If you're having trouble with friends, use Marth. His forward A smash is beastly, his grab range is just stupid and his air attacks are really good , offensively and when just getting someone away. Also, get into the habit of edge guarding. Hit someone of, typically with a forward smash. Get to the edge of the stage and try and intercept their recoverly. Someone said earlier, use the shield! When in trouble shield then roll to one side and you can easily get away against a moderate player.

Members orangesix
these characters are pretty effective with little practice: Link Young Link (usually my choice) Fox- he's awesome with a little bit of practice. Dr. Mario with a bit more practice, these guys can be unbeatable: Kirby Mewtew Marth Zelda Pikachu Yoshi. Ness i've seen people Dominate with Ness, Kirby, and Yoshi. Members Rogueweez
My friend gave me this game, and I don't see the allure. I don't see how button mashing is fun for more than about 5 minutes.
Members cg_25
I havent read the whole thread but my advice is to get your timing pin point acurate. Face level 12 CPU's for the best practice. And utilize the smash moves.
Members willburford
falco is my favorite. jigglypuff is great fun if you get good with him (which is very doable).... you can show people up with your jigglypuff killing skillz. Members willburford
Oh yeah and I CONSTANTLY use the shield/dodge thing (tap R and control stick sideways) as well as smash moves. hardly ever use the B moves (at least with falco... with certain characters they are alright, but I still prefer the smash moves). Members pinkzep52
This thread is from 2007 Anyways I always beasted with Marth. Hes quick and his counteract and combo special kicked ass when used correctly. I always used alot of dodge rolling too and it helps a lot.

Members hangwire
thanks for the time warp bump.... I have since gotten good, timing and not button mashing, and enjoy busting out BRAWL when people come over and are not in a movie mood...
