Inspired by HMKRich's thread: http://acapella.harmony-central.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1773426

I'm always awed by the number of great finales in Rock's album history, probably more so than the openers.

To kick things off:

Tomorrow Never Knows: The Beatles, Revolver

A Day in the Life: The Beatles, Sgt Pepper's

Bike: Pink Floyd, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn

You Can't Always Get What You Want: The Rolling Stones, Let It Bleed

The End: The Doors, The Doors

When The Music's Over: The Doors, Strange Days

When The Levee Breaks: Led Zeppelin, IV

Hats Off To Roy Harper: Led Zeppelin, III

Eclipse: Pink Floyd, Dark Side of The Moon

The Bewlay Brothers: Bowie, Hunky Dory

Rock & Roll Suicide: Bowie, Ziggy Stardust

Subterraneans: Bowie, Low

The Secret Life of Arabia: Bowie, "Heroes"

Decades: Joy Division, Closer

I Remember Nothing: Joy Division, Unknown Pleasures

Darkness: The Police, Ghost in the Machine

Musette & Drums: Cocteau Twins, Head Over Heels

"40": U2, War

Tea In The Sahara: The Police, Synchronicity

MLK: U2, The Unforgettable Fire

Donimo: Cocteau Twins, Treasure

The Thinner The Air: Cocteau Twins, Victorialand

Frou Frou Foxes in Midsummer Fires: Cocteau Twins, Heaven or Las Vegas

Love Is Blindness: U2, Achtung Baby

Endless, Nameless: Nirvana, Nevermind

Soon: My Bloody Valentine, Loveless

The Tourist: Radiohead, OK Computer

Do Now Fairly Well: The Sea & Cake, The Fawn

A Wolf at the Door: Radiohead, Hail to the Thief

the last track on the Liars 'they threw us all in a trench' (or whatever it's called) vinyl album which has a locked groove at the end of side 2 so it just keeps playing.....first time I played it I listened to it for an hour before I realised!!!!! :freak:

Nobody likes All Apologies. Not even my mom.

I don't like you...

sorry for having an opinion...

i actually like the unplugged version better than the recording but yeahhh, my roommate likes that song...so that makes two of us.

sorry...

can we just go back and forth arguing about how i like that song? cause that'd be fun.

What Became of the Likely Lads - The Libertines / The Libertines

Sad Song - Lou Reed / Berlin

The Good Times are Killing Me - Modest Mouse / Good News...

Soon - My Bloody Valentine / Loveless

Where Did You Sleep Last Night - Nirvana / Unplugged in New York

The Past and Pending - The Shins / Oh, Inverted World

Take it or Leave it - The Strokes / Is This It

The Ghosts of Saturday Night - Tom Waits / The Heart of Saturday Night

Oh, Sweet Nothin'! - The Velvet Underground / Loaded

Reservations - Wilco / Yankee Hotel Foxtrot

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Y Control / Fever to Tell
