Ehhhh..

If it was a McCarty, I would be changing my tune. But I'd flip that, personally.

Yeah. The more I play it the more I realise that I should flip. I have the opportunity to trade it for a McCarty, which I am very tempted to do. It's just so bright and harsh sounding. I plugged my ASAT in straight after, exact same settings and it was like ...."ahhh".

Yeah, they are very bright. And that rotary switch is ridiculous. I much prefer the McCarty's 3 way.

I had a Custom 22, it was my first "nice" guitar that I got for cheap because there was some overspray on the binding. It was decent but I sold it and got a LP Standard afterwards that was like night and day tonally. Much nicer.

Exactly. It's funny - the ASAT sounds about 100 times warmer, louder and more defined.

Shall I trade it for this:

I like that one much better, personally. But I'm a sucker for Amber & moons.

If I played lead all the time, I think I would get a McCarty. They play like butter past the 12th fret, moreso than any other guitar I've ever tried.

See the Korina ones yet?

:freak:
that isn't much nicer imo...why not sell it and get something you really want?

I enjoy buying and selling guitars. I have a few guitars as my main instruments which I'll never part with...these are more peripheral, a bit of fun. And of course to make some profit on.
