Members cobrascope
I concur with Miyazaki and that in general most of the scores produced for Studio Ghibli are top notch. Some other great scores are:"Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon": Tan Dun"Ghost Dog": The RZA"Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind": Jon Brionand probably my favourite ever is the "Blade Runner" soundtrack by Vangelis. Absolutely stunning. If you're into film scores I think anime has some of the most brilliant and most inventive scores around. I especially recommend "Ghost in the Shell 1 & 2" by Kenji Kawaiand the scores Susumu Hirasawa wrote for Satoshi Kon's films like"Paprika": and "Millenium Actress":

Members ClickyClique
Most Morricone soundtracks are ace. But my favorite is Giu La Testa (AKA Duck You Sucker AKA A Fistful Of Dynamite AKA Once Upon A Time... The Revolution). Once Upon A Time In America is close, too.
