Members thezeng
I would really like to know what fuzz pedal is turned on at 1:30 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcH4KcrGGZk It is a fuzz pedal since he steps on something live and keeps playing so it couldn't be a synth
Members tubezipper
that fuzz is going through a phaser too
Members andtrea
The only Fuzz in Dominic's pedalboard is a Zvex Vexter Fuzz Factory. Recently i bought a Microkorg and found a preset very close to our "discussed" tone, but I found very very hard to play the guitar through the Microkorg. After reading the comments on I guess that the problem is about latching the notes and use the built-in distortion... anyway I'm very offtopic. I just want to say that IMHO playing guitar through the Microkorg is pretty complicated and I'm not yet so sure of how Dominic get that sound... Members PedalGod
woah nice andtrea, buying a microkorg to try find the sound. so youve tried to find what the tone is but you cant?, it might be the effect of going through his pedals and also the microkorg that makes the sound and if its fuzz if it was kevin pushing the pedal its a fuzzface its its dom its a zvex fuzz factory but sounds a bit more than fuzz on the why wont you make up your mind video

It's a great machine despite the name but I'm in a love/hate relationship as I still prefer to experiment with guitar. The preset that I was talking about is the A65, one octave above (Sample taken from here)

Mos def the George H. influence in some of the vox, also hearing some early Floyd meets Byrds vibes & has Blue Cheer over for tea. Love the compressed guitars on Jeremy's Storm. Love this band! Members thezeng
Sorry to resurrect this thread but I'm pretty sure that guitar synthy tone in Alter Ego isn't a POG/HOG kinda thing. It must be his microkorg

It must be his microkorg IMHO of course... POG sounds definitely more "chewy" (especially the POG 2) to my ears. I owned POG, POG2 and MicroSynth but none of them come close to that sound. link
