It's a great machine despite the name but I'm in a love/hate relationship as I still prefer to experiment with guitar. The preset that I was talking about is the A65, one octave above (Sample taken from here)
  3. The only Fuzz in Dominic's pedalboard is a Zvex Vexter Fuzz Factory. Recently i bought a Microkorg and found a preset very close to our "discussed" tone, but I found very very hard to play the guitar through the Microkorg. After reading the comments on I guess that the problem is about latching the notes and use the built-in distortion... anyway I'm very offtopic. I just want to say that IMHO playing guitar through the Microkorg is pretty complicated and I'm not yet so sure of how Dominic get that sound...

  5. I don't know what it is the silver pedal... These are the best pictures that I found (stole) on flickr.

But maybe... my first theory was the right one And I was already under serious synth GAS ... mmm ...

I see a Verbzilla in the pic. I can't see the pedalboard on the Viva radio's video.
  9. Alt-me, did you watch the video linked above? I try: fuzz factory (with pronounced octave)---> verbzilla octo ---> delay ---> reverb
  10. Bump for the tone hunt! Dominic Simper pedalboard pics: Pretty basic setup, how can he make that synth sound?: http://s688.photobucket.com/albums/v...inic%20Simper/
  11. POG sounds definitely more "chewy" (especially the POG 2) to my ears. I owned POG, POG2 and MicroSynth but none of them come close to that sound. The Verbzilla "Octo" sound seems definitely a good hint, but I guess there is more... Using Guitar with Microkorg seems possible:

  13. This is by far the best guitar synth tone I ever heard: I highly doubt that this pitch modification could come from a POG, like youtube users suggest... any hints? This is the only Dominic Simper pedalboard decent pic that I found online...
