Best Fuzz for Hendrix under 100?

Well, if you're talking classic period Hendrix, you'd probably want a germanium fuzz. The two recent fuzzboxes, the MXR and the Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face are both silicon fuzz units.

Different sort of tonality.

Hendrix DID use the silicon units towards the end of his career, Band of Gypsies and whatnot.

Used or new.

Cheaper the better.

Is the Dano CC Fuzz good for Hendrix or is it more muffy?
:confused::idea:

Hendrix used an Arbiter Fuzz Face. Start with a used Fuzz Face. No sense buying something that sounds like a Fuzz Face when used ones are cheap.

If Hendrix was alive today he'd most likely be playing a ZVEX Fuzz Factory. :thu:

So that's... how many BJ you've given zvex now?

You got a little something on your chin there.

Any kind of fuzz built to sound similar to the old arbiters would be good. From what I remember reading he used a silicon transistor based FF later on and a germanium based early in his fame.

Fender Stratocaster-$349.

Arbiter Fuzz Face-$69

Vox Wah Wah-$69.

Unicord Uni-Vibe-$450.

Marshall Amp-Model 1959 and 2-4x12 Models 1960 & 1960B Speaker Cabs-$1440.00

these are todays prices, back in the day of Hendrix all was much cheaper.you could buy strats all day for $200

fuzz tonez for under $40

univibe unknown

Marshall 1959 under $1000 more like 600

but pocket book wise roughly the same.

My older brother bought a full stack in ,I want to say 1970 for just over a grand.

A used London Fuzz!!

MJM has 50 different fuzz pedals and different versions of the same.

They always confused me, but since you have a fuzz in your moniker, I will take your word.
