Members big_cat
I don't generally use reverb, and prefer not to, if I'm running a rack effector I'll use it on wet cleans. I have three delays on my board, the Carbon Copy is set for a reverb-like wash. share with me your CC wash setting?
Members ermghoti II
I'll check, but it's basically just enough level to hear, short repeats, long decay, no mod.
Members TheCardiacKid
i generally stay away from reverb in pedal form. i don't like it enough to justify using up the board space. my amp has awesome reverb and i barely use it. just not my thing. Members seagullplayer77
A buddy of mine has a Boss delay pedal---maybe a DD-5 or DD-6---that he uses on a pretty regular basis. Sometimes, he has the delay time set so short that he might as well be using a reverb pedal instead. Personally, I use my RV-3 mainly for reverb. I usually use it with my acoustic guitar to fill out the sound a little bit. A little bit of cathedral-type reverb really works wonders with my Ovation. Members TheCardiacKid
...I only use a little bit, but it adds SO much to a dry signal. When jamming solo yes When performing, the venue itself almost ALWAYS provides enough natural reverb, sometimes too much. Why add anymore artificially?
Members chakosh
I did for a while after I sold the Holy Grail. I recently picked up the Van Amps Sole Mate and really like it. I like the additional splash/depth it adds in combination with delay.

Why add anymore artificially? I hear ya. Over saturated reverb in any venue can sound really artifical. It's also difficult to adjust the blend to match the room characteristics, aside from the fact that the sound guy might be adding more verb to your signal (which just compounds the issue).I find myself setting reverb to a very low mix, perhaps no higher than 20% at most, and even then, it can sound saturated to the audience. But i think that rule applies to just about any effect you use?
Members humancertainty
Doesn't delay cover up better? Not as good as two distortion pedals...
Members NBarnes21
I've dropped the verb off my board and don't really miss it, my Maxon AD999 does all the ambience I need. I still have my verb on my shelf in case I feel like doing a 100% wet fast picking droney sound on a recording, that's about all it's good for though. Members Flying_Milkman
I actually just added verb back to my rig. I'm really glad I did.
Members ambientnoize
i use a big muff after a holy grail for epic mushy soundscapes, with whammy bar noodling. I love.
Members TomCTC
Nothing wrong with a bit of verb, but I could still play without it.

Crappy acoustics (and electricty, PA has {censored}ty sounding electricity, can't really explain, humbucker guitars buzz though) lots of wood and linoleum. ONE bar we play in I like some 'verb (I still have the stock reverb on my V18 and it stinks, Marshall and Fender amps have great reverb), but always have a smidge of long delay or slapback. It's a environmental thing. Love it on my recordings!

Members IamBurnout
For recording, anything goes. I didn't realize that so few of you guys were in a band. At drum kit level, natural ambiance is plenty.

Members Snowden
Yeah, you don't need it for 'just a touch' at gigging levels, but if you want 100% reverby wetness, you need a pedal.
