Chris Pennie puts this band on a whole new level musically.Its a major improvement over the last one. I love them,but I'm no fanboy so I can admit the last one was kinda weak for the most part,but this right here is album of the year material IMO. I got the pre order Album with the book and everything,but i couldn't help myself. I thought the same thing about it through my crap stereo,then i cranked it up in my truck and it was GODLY. They've always had a little of that flair, but I feel like they took it too far and it {censored}ed up their style balance on the last record. But whatever, they're a great band either way.
