personally i think the best overdrive/fuzz for a tele is a fuzz face. I personally have a silicon based fuzz face made by a man by the name of eric d. His fuzzes are out of this world, goes by "deviltone." if you can i would go to a place that you could test out a fuzz face type pedal with your amp and see if you like germanium or silicon. you can get overdrive-fuzz with your volume knob. get one.

if you're looking for textbook distortion, check out the Fulltone GT500. I REALLY dug mine, and i'd still have it if i wasnt so pressed for money. The Keeley modded BD2 can also get you a nice palette of clipping/distortion as well... i dont think i'll ever part with mine!

RED LLAMA !

It sure likes some single coils. I remember it sounded great with my Strat. With the gain all the way down, it's the most tube-y sounding dirt I've ever heard. That's probably why Mr. Anderton named it "Tube Sound Fuzz".

damnit....EVERYTHING sounds better with a Tele
:thu:

i am really surprised HOW MUCH BETTER the Tele i now have fits in with my band's sound more than the strats did

i love my Tele DEEEELUXE

i've recently found this, too. crazy. i don't find i'm tweaking tones near as much with my tele - it sounds awesome all the time.

that said, i really like my cmatmods signa drive with the tele.

it's really kinda freaking me out.

been ten years since i had a Tele (custom shop Nocaster, Cunetto era)

then it was back to STRATS for the last decade.

and then i got this parts monster Tele that was built by Chiba from TGP.

he has already upgraded and modded it to the fullest extent possible......nice seymour pickups, callaham bridge (which is nice) and coil tap switch for neck bucker

the ONLY thing i'm gonna do is replace the bridge with the new Babicz Full Contact Hardware bridge (i like having six individual saddles) and maybe another switch for in/out of phase, like Andy Summers

I {censored}in love Teles. Just in case I hadnt made that clear yet.

The Nashville has the Strat middle pup, and this one is just another "Vintage Single Coil". But I like the idea (and the sound!) of a single in the middle instead of the middle position just being bridge/neck like a normal Tele.

I need to have it wired 3-way, as I NEVER used the 2-pup positions.
